Richard Montauk is the author of How to Get into the Top MBA Programs, How to Get into the Top Law Schools and How to Get into the Top Colleges, as well as the founder and president of Degree of Difference, a firm that has helped thousands of applicants get into the world's top law and business schools. He received a B.A. from Brown University, an M.S. in Finance, and a J.D. from Stanford University. He formerly worked as a corporate lawyer and a corporate strategy consultant. He divides his time between London, Philadelphia, and San Francisco.

 

 


Mrs. Lynette Lewis

For more than 20 years, Lynette Lewis has inspired women on the topics of vision and purpose.  Her eclectic marketing career spans a range of industries, from fundraising at a major university to serving as a senior marketing leader for the National Women’s Initiative at Deloitte & Touche to managing the corporate reputation practice at one of the largest independent public relations firms in the world.

As an inspirational speaker and leadership expert, Lewis has conducted more than 200 training workshops and conferences for corporate executives, board members and volunteers on topics including: “The Power of Purpose,” “Living the Life You Love” and “Leading on Purpose.”  She continues to host the popular PureLife Women’s Conference held annually in New York City, which attracts attendees from around the world.

During her career, Lewis has designed and implemented national public relations and marketing campaigns.  She has also served as board president, board member and committee chair for numerous non-profit organizations.  Prior to moving to New York City in 1999, Lewis resided in Tulsa, Oklahoma for more than 20 years, where she served as the President of the Board for Leadership Tulsa, was active in the Junior League of Tulsa and was named one of ten outstanding young Tulsans in 1997.  

Though her resume is now filled with accomplishments and awards, Lewis isn’t a stranger to the disappointments and frustration that many women face as they struggle to find purpose in their professional lives.  Early in her career, Lewis faced a variety of challenges that ultimately led her to write Climbing the Ladder in Stilettos.  Lewis has literally lived out every challenge and principle outlined in the book.

An avid runner for many years, Lewis enjoys fashion, decorating, travel and nutrition as well as spending time with her husband and four stepsons.  She now splits her time between Raleigh, North Carolina and New York City. Peter Regan created MBA Math to help incoming MBA students develop the quantitative skills they need to achieve their academic and professional potential.

He has an academic background in decision making under uncertainty (PhD, Stanford Engineering) and professional experience in management consulting, software development, and entrepreneurship. His published writings focus on MBA teaching, decision making, and decision technology.

After working for biotech, financial services, and consulting firms, Dr. Regan founded his own consulting and technology firm, working collaboratively with strategy consultants and global life sciences companies.

He began teaching a decision science consulting practice course for part of each year at the Tuck School at Dartmouth in 1998. In 2000 he started teaching a 35-hour one-week on-campus quantitative skills course at Tuck that is offered the week before first-year orientation.

He continues to teach both courses at Tuck. Starting in 2007-2008, he also teaches a three-day on-campus quantitative skills course at the Johnson School at Cornell and a second-year decision consulting practice course at the Fuqua School at
Duke.


National Symposium Workshops and Panels

Current Student Panel - Life as an MBA Student
A panel of current MBA students from our member schools will give examples of their day-to-day routine in Business School. They will also discuss opportunities for students to get involved while still a student.

Roundtable Discussions – How does an MBA define your career path?
Boston-area alumni, Current Students, Business School and Corporate Sponsors will host table discussions on the benefit of an MBA. At each individual table representatives will also address the MBA experience, and the doors opened post-MBA. This is a candid, interactive roundtable and an opportune time to select a few Mentors to aid you during the application process.

GMAT Workshop
Princeton Review will host this workshop which will provide attendees with key tips to help them master the GMAT. This workshop will include an insight into the strategies and study tips that are necessary to help a prospective business school student champion the GMAT.

Application Tips for B-School Applicants
Admissions Directors from our member schools will discuss the most valuable tips for applying to business school and the qualities admission committees are looking for in candidates. A question and answer session will take place at the end of the panel.

Financial Aid Workshop
Financial Aid Officers from our member schools will discuss the various ways to finance an MBA. Representatives will also be available from other aid granting institutions to discuss the services that their organizations provide.
